sorry guys on a bad day i understand i like the decor and the genreal direction sunderland is trying to take bit more asspirational came here a few years ago with a mate from the army loved the place so here with uni now just seems all the money has gone into asspirational decor but nowt new has come through on the beer front how about as trial a german larger like warstiner or paderborner good stuff like i said maybe one or a keg on a trial know your not fitzgeralds just thinking of something different

managment.   7th December 08
what sort of beers are you looking for mr x?? victoria's tried to offer different beers such as michelob and kastel crew but no1 bought them and they went out of date, so why would any bar follow that line? corona is the most popular bottled lager in town except for maybe budweiser, plus i wouldnt of said 3 quid is over the top, iv been places in sunderland that charge a lot more. you have to realise we are tied into a contract with the brewery where they have to pay over the top for stock, its not as easy as going to asda and getting 3 cases of lager for 20,

mr r owner of a bar in town   3rd December 08
mr x, you need to realize that if you are charged that in price its cause the breweries are charging 1-40 to 2-20 per unit the bar has to pay to buy in, before, staff, rent, rates, utility s, security, glassware, dj, maintenance. That's the problem with bars mate, off trade is cheaper, every one pre-loads (drinks before coming out).asda etc are killing bars. Dont blame the bars, blame al downing and the supermarkets.

mr x   3rd December 08
if ya going to sell beer at three quid abottle sell me somthing differant other then the usual i dont think people in sunderland realise how expensive the beer is in this town ill pay three quid plus for a good beer in a pub but not for fosters carling or corrona i can get it at sainsburys for less than a quid abottle and i thought northerners knew how to keep their beer never had agood pint yet in sunderland cold larger only means they are trying to hide the taste of beer on the way out

so much better since mick took over, awesome drink offers on esp all the flamers, cant wait till it takes off, it'l be one of the best bars that side of town.

leanne   7th November 08
this bar is much better as masters. its not fullof 14 year olds anymore and the new manager actually does some work and doesnt just stand on the door sleezing all night. this place will really pick up soon with the amazing offers its got on.
