Glass Spider

Green Terace, Sunderland

Photo of Glass SpiderSituated on two floors the Glass spider offers entertainment 7 nights a week downstairs and upstairs more of a restaurant style layout with a kitchen where you can everything that goes on!

The huge outdoor Glass conservatory upstairs and outside gives lovers the very chance to watch the stars. With drinks prices that would make your jaw drop the main attraction of this venue is the entertainment and late license. The general layout upstairs are swirls of eye catching wallpaper and more Victorian style seating, downstairs is more for you to rest while you're on the dance floor situated right in front of the DJ.

It's only for weeks to go until St Patricks Day and we are pleased to announce that we will be working hand in hand with our sister bar Paddywhacks to bring you the best festival in the North East. For those who don't know, last years demand in Paddywhacks was crazy which is why this year, we've turned 3-7 Green Terrace into a complex.

The Glass Spider and Paddywhacks now have a walk through (located upstairs in both bars, just before the terrace doors). This means you can access both pubs under one roof.

We're pleased to host some of the biggest bands this St Patricks Day alongside Paddywhacks in our new upstairs bar/lounge... For more information, visit our website www.theglassspider.co.uk or www.wylamleisure.co.uk

Came in last Monday, its a great bar APART from the area where the seats have been removed! it looks REALLY tacky! Actually reminds me of the underground when they took the seats out to make way for a more open plan room lol apart from that its cool...

we read this site most days and hear all the negative comments that get put out but credit where credit is due, The Spider really is digging itself out of a hole. There was a time when we stopped going in here and for a little while ventured down to Passion but weve started returning after hearing lots of people talking about the changes. It still looks a little tatty inside but the atmosphere has changed big time. Saturday nights are now smart and sexy and pub looks great with all the banners and sax player but the biggest night is a Monday. We've been coming in religiously for the last for weeks and we have loved each and every one. Our fav so far was the headphone party and grab a grand. We are two girls from town and we just wanted to say well done!

came in on Friday night after not being in here for a long time and its changed loads and got to say for the better. It was a 70s and 80s style night and the crowd were loving it. dont know who the dj was or whos idea this is but it really was the best night weve had in sunderland for a long time. this was the busiest place in town by far and we will be back.
